Travel Insurance
THE POLICY
Travel Insurance offers protection for both national and international travel and can cover costs relating to:
- Cancellation expenses.
- Overseas medical expenses.
- Personal luggage.
- Accidental death.
- Personal liability.
- Legal expenses and the like.
The covers available vary on the destination and the insurance provider.
Catholic Church Insurances Limited is only able to offer limited travel insurance facility. We are able to assist with:
- Cover for extended overseas postings of individuals (e.g. missionary work in Cambodia), but levels of cover may be lower than other commercial products available.
- Facilitation of Corporate Travel insurance to cover all travel locally or internationally by various business units (e.g. individual Diocesan offices) - this cover is placed entirely with an external business provider with Catholic Church Insurances Limited acting as facilitators.
- Individual travel insurance where cover has been declined by other insurers due to age, health and the like.
Generally, individual travellers are able to purchase travel insurance with their travel agents when booking their flights, or through on line facilities with major insurance companies. There is also a facility available through the Church Resources web site.
