Church Insurances - Reducing the risk of a claim
How an organisation handles incidents such as accidents can sometimes have a big impact on the likelihood of a claim being made.
While all organisations should ideally have a structured Risk Management program in place to help prevent incidents, how well an incident is handled once it has occurred can also play a part in reducing the chance of a claim being made.
Keys to handling an incident well include:
- Making sure the injured person is adequately comforted.
- Providing first aid treatment as soon as possible.
- Contacting partners, parents, relatives etc. as soon as possible.
